Rebirthing Breathwork in Crawley and Online FAQs
What is Rebirthing Breathwork?
Rebirthing Breathwork is a gentle yet powerful breathing technique that involves a continuous, circular pattern of breath without pauses between the inhale and exhale.
It also known as conscious connected breathwork. This practice is designed to help release stored emotional energy, reduce stress, and promote deep healing at the mental, emotional, and physical levels.
How does Conscious Connected Rebirthing Breathwork work?
This breathwork technique works by activating the body’s natural ability to process and release suppressed emotions and trauma. By maintaining a steady, connected breathing rhythm with no pauses, oxygen flow increases, which stimulates the nervous system and allows unresolved experiences to surface and be integrated safely.
What are the benefits of Rebirthing Breathwork?
Many people report feeling more connected to themselves and experiencing a sense of spiritual awakening. Some of the most common benefits include:
Reduced stress and anxiety
Emotional release and healing
Increased self-awareness
Improved mental clarity
Enhanced energy levels
Deep relaxation and inner peace
Is Rebirthing Breathwork safe?
Yes, Rebirthing Breathwork is generally safe when practiced with a trained facilitator or facilitator undergoing robust training. However, individuals with certain medical conditions such as cardiovascular issues, severe mental health disorders, or pregnancy should consult a healthcare professional before participating.
What happens during a breathwork session?
At the start of the session you will be invited to talk about where you are at in that moment and about any issues you are facing.
During the session, you will then lie down in a comfortable position while being guided through a body scan or meditation before then being guiding through the breath technique.
As the session progresses, you may feel physical sensations, emotional releases, or deep relaxation.
There is a period of integration time towards the end where you can breathe normally and be with where you are at from your breathe. After this you can journal or share your experience with your practitioner.
How long does a breathwork session last?
A typical Rebirthing Breathwork session lasts between 60 to 90 minutes. This includes talking, preparation, active breathing, and integration time at the end.
Can beginners try Conscious Connected Breathwork?
Absolutely. This practice is suitable for beginners. No prior experience is necessary.
What does 'rebirthing' mean in breathwork?

How often should I practice breathwork?
Frequency depends on your personal goals. Some people benefit from weekly sessions, while others may practice monthly or as needed for emotional support and personal growth.
Is breathwork the same as meditation?
While both practices promote mindfulness and relaxation, breathwork is more active and can lead to intense emotional release, whereas meditation typically focuses on stillness and non-judgemental observation.
Can breathwork help with trauma and anxiety?

Do I need anything to prepare for a session?
Before a session it is ideal to:
Wear comfortable clothing
Avoid heavy meals beforehand
Stay hydrated
Keep an open mind
Bring tissues, pillows, water and an eye mask (if online) along with a pen and notebook if there is a chance you might want to journal
Are results immediate?
Some individuals feel immediate relief and clarity after a single session, while others experience gradual benefits over time with consistent practice.
How do I find a rebirthing breathwork facilitator?
It is recommended that you speak to your breath worker first in the phone so that you can get a feel for if this person and practice is for you. There are many trainings out there that are made up of pre-recordings or are very short. Asking your breath worker about their training can give you an idea of how in-depth their training is / was.
I chose to train with Air School of Breathwork because they offer a comprehensive two year, in-depth training designed for those who want to develop a truly grounded, skilled, and ethical practice in conscious connected breathwork.
This extended training allows students to integrate theory, personal experience, and professional facilitation skills over time. This is something that simply can’t be rushed. The pre-requisites are robust and include ongoing supervision and 30 client hours before gaining qualification.
In contrast, there are many short, 'cowboy' courses on the market that promise quick certification but often lack the depth, supervision, and embodied learning required to safely hold space for others.
Choosing a breath worker who has trained with in a longer, more rigorous training like Air School of Breathwork ensures practitioners are well-prepared and capable of delivering breathwork in a deep, responsible and effective way.
